Tiny Dancer, Their The Smallest Tap Shoes I've Ever Seen!
burnished copper tinted femmora stepped silently from the abyss, her ribs were badly bruised from the thickets she had to navigate through. her serpentine was low to the lithosphere, showing off her negativity and scardey-feline demenour. dentals grinded together and she flinched as a small leaf, etched with veins fluttered past her shoulder-blade. badly abused and left to live her own life as a flicka she learnt to trust no one, depend on no one but be like a feline, independent.
two long scratches were also apparent on her rump, one long and deep, the other faint, like a scar. her short appendages worked quickly with her fatigued frame, she sucked in carbon then expelled loudly, paperthins quickly shrinking back to size like crinkling paper. she wished so badly to be protected, but she just couldn't trust vagabounds... not now anyway. she was so afraid, so scared of the real world she usually went off and about her rounds as if it were not real.
the wounds and scars inflicted upon her carcass would remain there forever, Dancer had yet to let go of the past and grasp onto the here and now. she smiled as a small butterfly streaked past her plush and she giggled, then shut her trap, fearing to be heard by the Threstrial whom stalked the lands. she did not know his name, all she knew was that he was a horrid b.east and would stop at nothing to diminish her species, unless she was quiet.
So, Tiny Dancer had always kept her lippers shut tight, afraid to scream at the top of her lungs, afraid she would accidently tell another of her kind that they were doomed, this fact was actually fiction. Dancer was so skittish that she would beleive Apollo, the luce god, would want her dead.
she was frantically searching for shelter when the rain began to pour,
Forgive me lord, I have disappointed you deeply, I do not think you will end my species, I know it shall prospure(sp?), I am just so deeply afraid of the coming nights, the endless nights I will endour. When will I find love, happiness? Truly you musn't think I shall be alone forever? Or perhaps it was meant to be this way? she was few of the Luce's whom could speak to Apollo, however, not at all times she was in contact with him.
a booming voice replied in her brainpan,
Dearest Tiny Dancer, do not doubt me for a moment, I am God Apollo, I cannot rid the Therestrial dubbed Flint from cornering you and taunting you, there is a reason for this... his vocals started to sound choppy s their connection began to get hazy,
Trust in yourself, not in me, you are the ruler of.... life..... Never forget that. I will be watching you, but learn to trust others, even in doubt. Never forget that my friend.[/tt]
Tiny Dancer strained to catch his last verbs and knew that their connection was lost, she longed to hear Apollo's gentle and placid verbs once more but new it could be as long as a fort-night before than, she closed her shutters o'er her visionnaries and smiled, inhaling the untoxic carbon greedily then slowly letting it out,
My lord, I shan't disappoint, I will produce children for myself, not you. I shall find a King for me, not you. I shall rule my life for me, not you. she knew their connection was lost, but it felt so good to just talk in your mind, she was hoping her friend up above was listening....
petite flints cracked a small twig and she flinched, remembering her past life, she shied violently, almost knocking into a strong tree. she neighed loudly, her enamels snaked at the bark, she was extremly spooked at this time. she did not know what was real and what was fiction, all she knew was that the tree was going to eat her. she screamed, but her vocals were drowned as she rolled in the vegetation.
once more came a loud voice, this time, more stern and controlling,
Get a hold of yourself Tiny Dancer! A tree shan't hunt you down, I am watching you, remember?[/tt] Apollo again. Tiny Dancer weakly nodded as she rolled back up, her appendages shaking,
Forgive me lord. she whispered, a tear of aquilla rolling down her cheekbone, she silently sniffled.
It is in the past, forgotten. Again, the comforting voice was gone and she was left alone....
she shook her dial then curled it into her chest, what was this? was this determination etched upon her visage? naw, it couldn't be... her twin pools rolled as the last bits of fright seemed to vanish. then it came back in a flash, she couldn't do this, she knew she'd never be brave..
ever. her father was even teased for his temperment, never again would she love another equine as much as she loved her ex-mate. she loved him with all her organ, then.....
flashbacks of that night came flooding back and she squealed, her carcass flown back, her hooves slashing the carbon as she reared, tears streamed down her facade... she wanted him back, he was her life, her love, her constant companion, she loved him... lyrics couldn't and never would explain how she felt around him, she used to be balistic and a crazy femmora, almost filly-like and he would warn her, as if they were related or something closer than the bond they shared. nothing could tear them apart.. until a fate-ful night in which her past love, Shrine was her partner in crime, as her parentals put it. He was more than words can explain, and in a blink of an eye he was dead at her titaniums. she wept for fort-nights on end, not bearing to face another equine, not bearing to face Apollo.
Shrine-
she had run from her religion, her life and her loves, Shrine led a herd, all whom seemed to know what had happened and let Dancer run off, alone, scared and incoherent. she travelled days on end, not eating, nor drinking, nor stopping to look at the scenery and take time to take in the surroundings, she kept going. her energy wore thin and she finally collapsed, still alone.. or so she thought. she knew Shrine did his best to save her from that horrid creature, which she speaks about to no one, not even Apollo, or in her mind. but she feels a heavy guilt for his passing, she feels it was her fault.
she dreaded the fact of living on her own, but Apollo had promised a new life for her, when would it come? anyways, her tail drags on as she lays past out by a river bank when a fox cub stumbled into her sprawled out bodice. she immediatly reacted by kicking, missing the canine's skull by mere inches. she apologized when she finally came around to remembering why she was there and how she got there.
the fox had replied with one simple sentence that changed her life a bit, it made her feel less guilty for Shrine,
Do not dwell upon shoving your nonsence in my brainpan dear equine, though look at it as a life-lesson. You will learn to not tire yourself out and I will learn not to pounce upon a slumbering equine. he chuckled frantically then lapped her visage gently.
Where is your parentals? was all the Shetland X could manage, the cub was so intelligent, surely his mother must be somewhere.
She gave up on me. She said I was too careful, I was banned from ever seeing her again. he weakly smiled and nudged her visage,
But I promise you once I fill my belly I shan't be a problem.Trapt The Cub--
to make a long story short, Dancer took in the frail b.east and raised him until he left her. His name was Trapt and he left Dancer with more than love and affection, he had a permenent residence in her heart, forever. all she had was distant memories, and faint love, that was now making her heart seem weaker.
Trapt The Adult-
she plopped down upon the vegetation, staring blankly at the twinkling stars o'er head, she had finally settled down and was now tiresome and ready to slumber... if only her eyes were to shut. she whimpered lightly then tossed her dreads from view,
Help me be strong. she whispered, not only to the creatures of the night, but to herself, Shrine, Trapt, Apollo and any others that were listening....
If you love me, you wouldn't try and save me,
because on the inside, I'm already dead...
