They had been captured first, herded onto a great vessel. For years, it seemed, they drifted, until they finally stopped drifting. They were released from the vessel and set free. They were a new world, a new land. A land without humans.
This was the fate of hundred of horses from the planet earth. They'd been sent to a new inhabitable planet, as a scientist's experiment. They would be monitered by a satillite orbiting the planet. But something the scientists never expected happened. On this planet, the horses, for whatever reason, could control the elements.
Amoung the horses themselves, an odd thing occured. The three stallions who'd been born above the ship took over as leaders of the horses. However, they quarreled about how to run the herd. The younger of the three felt that they should be fierce, and fear no predator in the new land. The Elder felt they should be kind, loving creatures, and only fight if they had to. The middle stayed out of the others' argument, feeling neither way was right.
